KLL Rules

TEE BALL

This is the Division where we teach the players the fundamentals of baseball, thus during the games, a game-like atmosphere must be maintained.  Points to remember are as follows:

• The games will be 3 innings ( about 45 min).
• Every player must bat every inning.
• No score will be kept, but the batting line-up must be maintained throughout the game.
• If a player is called out, he/she must exit the field.
• Everyone plays defense but the infield needs to be as true to baseball (first, second, third basemen, short stop, pitcher and catcher) as possible.  There may be an additional player placed between first and second base. Other players should be assigned to the outfield.
• To make sure that games have the proper rhythm, keep instructions to players to a minimum during the game.  Batting and other instructions (stance, position, etc.) should be done during practice.
• The same rules of safety apply.  Players must wear helmets to bat.  Also players waiting to bat must be INSIDE the dugout.  Only one coach is allowed on the field when the team is on defense, and there should be a first base coach, a third base coach, and a batting coach, when the team is on offense.  The player playing CATCHER must wear a batting helmet.
