KLL Rules

SOFTBALL

The following rules will be applied:

• The team on defense consists of 10 players. A team with less than 8 players will have to forfeit the game. 
• Every player must play two defensive innings (6 outs) and be part of the continuous  batting line-up.
• The games are six innings.  Each inning will stop if there are 3 outs OR  5 runs scored ( 5 run mercy rule per inning), except  the last inning which has unlimited runs.  Any inning  that starts  after an hour and 15 minutes will be called last inning. 
• General rules of safety apply.  Players must wear helmets to bat.  Also players waiting to bat must be INSIDE the dugout.  Only two coaches are allowed on the field when the team is on offense, a first base coach, and a third base coach. When the team is on defense, the coaches must stay in the dugout.
