KLL Rules

MINORS

The following rules will be applied:

• The team on defense consists of 10 players. The extra position is the Rover. A team with less than 8 players will have to forfeit the game.
• Every player must play two defensive innings  (6 outs) and be part of the continuous batting line-up.
• Games will be machine pitched.  Players get 5 balls, there are no walks.
• The games are six innings.  Each inning will stop if there are 3 outs OR  5 runs scored ( 5 run mercy rule per inning), except  the last inning which has unlimited runs.  Any inning  that starts  after an hour and 15 minutes will be called last inning. 
• General rules of safety apply.  Players must wear helmets to bat.  Also players waiting to bat must be INSIDE the dugout.  Only three coaches are allowed on the field when the team is on offense, a first base coach,  a third base coach, and a coach who runs the pitching machine. When the team is on defense, the coaches must stay in the dugout. The player playing CATCHER must wear full catcher’s gear, and an athletic cup.
